1711 - General Engineering Technician

Proven experience with PCB assembly, soldering techniques, and surface mount technology (SMT). Strong understanding of schematics, electrical wiring, and mechanical assembly processes. Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience is highly desirable. Experience reading electrical drawings. Experience in a production/manufacturing setting. Must be able to lift 50 – 75 lbs. Must be a U.S. citizen. Computer Programs/Software: Microsoft Office Suite. Personnel Clearance Level: Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher. A clearance will not be sponsored. Education Requirements: High School Diploma (or equivalent). Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive): Manufacturing and assembling cables and wire harnesses. Assembling/wiring electrical box assemblies. Cable management and wire routing through cable trays or conduit. Regular use of soldering iron, wire cutter/stripper/crimper, hand tools, power tools, digital multi-meter, and calipers. Installation of electrical components in racks, cabinets, boxes, etc. Diagnose and fix electrical issues. Assist with equipment design modifications, including fabrication, and testing. Pay Range: $24 - $28 per hour.
