Health Systems Regional Scientific Director

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals seeks a Health Systems Regional Scientific Director to build relationships with healthcare decision makers in payer organizations and health systems across a six-state region. This remote, field-based role provides scientific expertise on the company's MASH treatment and supports market access strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with key decision makers in regional health systems and payers
• Partner with market access teams to create and execute strategic account plans with medical activities
• Coordinate with regional medical science liaisons on scientific support needs for IDNs, GI practices, and payers
• Support HEOR activities and serve as technical resource for market access leadership and field teams
• Attend scientific meetings, prepare post-meeting deliverables, and support budget management

Requirements

• Clinical or scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, MS, MPH, or equivalent)
• 5+ years' experience in IDN and payer environments with peer-to-peer relationship-building skills
• Thorough knowledge of managed care, pharmacoeconomics, disease management, and real-world evidence
• Deep understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and pharmaceutical industry regulations and ethics
• Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills with collaborative mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, virtual platforms, and medical affairs systems (Veeva, CRM tools)
