Job Description: The Global Mobility and Immigration Specialist is responsible for coordinating and administering employee immigration, international assignments, relocation programs, and global mobility initiatives across North America.
* This position serves as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, immigration counsel, relocation providers, and internal stakeholders regarding work authorization, visa sponsorships, international transfers, expatriate assignments, relocation support, and immigration compliance.
* The role ensures a seamless employee mobility experience while maintaining compliance with immigration, employment, payroll, tax, and corporate mobility requirements.


- Participates in relocation market surveys to share best practices.
- Analyzes the output from market surveys to identify current market values by job and level; compares market values with our current values and identify anomalies; documents the anomalies for consideration by others;
- Investigates and documents the relocation and assignment elements involved in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Conducts studies to determine relocation equity.
- Compiles and analyzes relocation and assignments data to respond to customer request.
- Participates on teams. Analyzes and interprets relocation and assignments policies, procedures, practices and processes.
- Provides advice and counsel to customers to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, domestic and international laws and regulations, and agreements.
- Gathers data and provides information to internal and external customers, outside agencies, governments, and legal counsel for audits, litigation, benchmarking, surveys and studies.
- May support union negotiation process by providing relocation and assignments information.
- Deploys and monitors relocation and assignments processes, procedures, guidelines, tools, and schedules.
- Communicates with, educates and trains customers on relocation and assignments processes.
- Monitors agreements (e.g., collective bargaining, consulting, and service) to comply with stipulations as applicable.
- Obtains and analyzes data to conduct studies.
- Creates charts, spreadsheets, and reports of study results.
- Identifies trends and issues and make recommendations to customers and management.
- Audits vendor/carrier compliance to performance standards and report status.
- Consults with customers regarding relocation and assignments processes, procedures, guidelines, tools and schedules.
- Communicates, educates and trains customers on relocation and assignments processes.
- Analyzes business situations, develops and recommends modified employee relocation and assignment proposals as appropriate.
- Obtains appropriate approvals and support.
** Provides detailed relocation support activities to appropriate employees and dependents, such as: Employee and dependent initial briefings to define relocation process, coordination of individual issues and issue resolution; coordination of all suppliers to include: tasks involving the movement of household and personal goods; residential sales; exception identification and resolution; location transition services (home search and relocation destination follow-up); security requirements; payment services US and Non-US payroll and travel accounting services; non-US tax services and payment of all appropriate allowances; cultural and language training if appropriate.


Job Description
* Immigration Program Management: Coordinate employment-based immigration processes in partnership with external immigration counsel, including H-1B, L-1, TN, E-3, H-4, F-1/OPT/STEM, PERM, and employment-based permanent residency processes.


* Work Authorization Tracking: Monitor visa, work authorization, and expiration dates to ensure timely renewals, extensions, amendments, and required filings.


* Global Mobility Administration: Administer international assignments, expatriate programs, cross-border transfers, assignment documentation, extensions, repatriations, and localizations.


* Relocation Support: Coordinate domestic and international relocation programs, including relocation benefits, vendor coordination, reimbursements, temporary housing, travel support, and employee communications.


* Compliance and Records: Maintain accurate immigration, mobility, and assignment records and support compliance with I-9, E-Verify, Public Access File, and applicable documentation requirements.


* Employee and Manager Support: Serve as a primary advisor to employees and managers on visa sponsorship, relocation, assignment benefits, work authorization, travel requirements, and transition planning.


* Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with HR, Legal, Payroll, Finance, Tax, Talent Acquisition, project teams, global mobility teams, and external vendors to support mobility and immigration needs.


* International Assignment Process Support: Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support assignment initiation, assignment changes, compensation-related documentation, onboarding requirements, and assignment end processes.


* Vendor and Counsel Management: Coordinate case activity with immigration counsel, relocation vendors, tax advisors, and other service providers to ensure timely and compliant service delivery.


* Reporting and Process Improvement: Maintain tracking tools, prepare reports for HR leadership, monitor case activity, identify compliance risks, and recommend process improvements.




Required Skills And Competencies
* MUST BE US CITIZEN


Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Business, Law, Public Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.


Experience: Minimum 4 5 years of experience in global mobility, immigration, expatriate administration, relocation, international HR, or related HR operations.


Immigration Coordination: Experience managing or coordinating employment-based immigration matters and working with external immigration counsel.


Global Mobility Expertise: Experience supporting international assignments, expatriate employees, cross-border transfers, relocation programs, or multinational workforce programs.


Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of U.S. employment-based immigration, Form I-9, E-Verify, Public Access File requirements, and employment compliance requirements; Canadian immigration exposure is preferred.


Systems and Tracking: Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday and immigration or relocation case-management platforms preferred.


Process Discipline: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, document control, discretion, confidentiality, and ability to manage multiple time-sensitive matters.


Stakeholder Support: Ability to support employees, managers, executives, vendors, legal counsel, and cross-functional partners with clear communication and sound judgment.


Analytical and Reporting Skills: Ability to maintain tracking tools, prepare status reports, identify compliance risks, and support process improvements.




Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain immigration and mobility processes clearly to diverse stakeholders. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.
