Press Control+M to start dragging object About the department: The Minnesota Carlson Impact Lab trains undergraduate students in problem-solving and delivers course-based, socially impactful experiential projects to every student in Minnesota Carlson. One of the key distinguishing characteristics of effective leaders is the ability to parse through the overwhelming number of inputs we all receive to understand what needs to be done. “What problem are we trying to solve?” is a crucial question that too often goes unaddressed in the rush to “just fix it”. Lecturers teaching Powerful Problem Solving will expose students to a clear problem-solving framework and process, a variety of perspectives on how to approach problems, as well as individual and group activities and assignments to inform and sharpen skills. About the job: This position is part-time and will support the teaching mission of the Impact Lab in the Carlson School of Management Undergraduate Program. Courses taught could include the following at the undergraduate level: BA 2062: Powerful Problem Solving as well as other future, new courses under development. Courses are offered in-person and/or online during the day as well as in the evenings. Duties and responsibilities include: Textbook selection Evaluation of students Grading Management/supervision of teaching assistants Office hours Other duties as assigned Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor's degree plus 3 years teaching experience in a closely related field. Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $3,200 per credit taught per semester.
