Experience: Minimum of 1 year nurse experience in long term care plus supervisory or clinical lead experience over multiple units.

License: Current Client Registered Professional Nurse licensure

Certifications: BLS required through AHA or RQI system during clinical orientation. CPI to be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Professional Nursing.

Preferred: BSN.

Description: Under the direction of the Director of Nursing and in accordance with established policies and procedures, oversees the operation of the nursing units. Provides clinical supervision to employees assigned to various nursing units. Assures quality resident care through teaching and supervision of staff on respective shifts. Communicates with the Director of Nursing and/or Nurse Managers regarding identified and potential unit problems and collaborates to resolve them. Makes sound administrative decisions in the absence of the Director of Nursing and the Administrator within identified scope of responsibility. Demonstrates excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication (written and oral), analytical, and organizational skills. Possesses the ability to collaborate effectively with medical staff, department managers, ancillary services, and customers in a professional and courteous manner. Demonstrates the ability to manage oneself professionally in stressful situations. Facilitates clinical management and works effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines. Manages multiple priorities and enhances the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. Familiarity with Client requirements is preferred. Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. Models and exemplifies behaviors in accordance with safety, dignity, respect, well-being, and healthy relationships.
