In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring quality products are delivered accurately and on time, while contributing to an efficient and supportive work environment.What will you do:Assist in training and mentoring new associates, promoting best practices and ensuring adherence to operational standardsContribute to the creation of Standard Operating Procedures and/or Work InstructionsProcess customer orders daily to meet customer expectations efficiently and accuratelyAssist with proper storage and organization of productsAssist with inventory audits/cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory recordsEnsure all products are packaged and labeled correctly according to standard operating procedures, including completing necessary documentation for hazardous materialsMaintain compliance with safety protocols, actively promoting a safe working environment for all team membersCollaborate with team members to resolve issues and enhance productivity, ensuring a positive work experience for everyoneIdentify areas for process improvement, root cause issues, and participate in initiatives to enhance warehouse operations and efficiencyHazardous materials (HazMat) certification or willingness to obtain (training provided)Complete local delivery routes as needed, including loading products, safely operating a delivery vehicle, delivering packages up to 60lbs, and interacting with customers in a professional manner while complying with all transportation laws and regulationsOperate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment as needed to move, stage, load, and unload materials.Communicate professionally and effectively with peers and direct leadershipWhat you will bring:3+ years of relevant experience in a stockroom or warehouse is requiredForklift certification is highly preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently heldFamiliarity with FedEx and UPS shipping programs is a plusStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments effectivelyCommitment to adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environmentBasic proficiency with computers and scanning equipment preferred, familiarity in Microsoft Office Suite applications including TeamsDesire to work as part of a team, but also able to work independently and solve problems quicklyThrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Works efficiently within deadlinesPhysical Requirements:Frequently lift and carry packages weighing up to 60 lbs.Ability to operate a forklift, clamp devise, pallet jack, overhead crane devise and maintain OSHA forklift certificationWalk up and down stairs and stand for extended periods throughout the shiftFrequently bend and stoop to pick up packagesSafely and efficiently operate a large delivery vanMust be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditionsAdhere to assigned delivery routes and follow time schedulesEfficiently pick, pack, and prepare items for shipmentThe role primarily requires prolonged standing and continuous movement throughout the work shiftAt Genesee Scientific, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
