Senior Database Security Engineer - Guardium

Salary: $82,000 - 122,000 per year Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Guardium, including provisioning, patching, or version upgrades
- Proficiency in Python, Unix/KSH shell scripting, and PowerShell
- Hands-on experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or another RDBMS
- Experience with product certifications and process automation
- Familiarity with Jira and Horizon
- Preferred: experience with CockroachDB, Cassandra, or PostgreSQL
- Preferred: cloud database experience with AWS or Azure
- Preferred: familiarity with GitHub Copilot and prompt engineering
- Provision, patch, and upgrade the Guardium product
- Build reporting capabilities on Guardium
- Develop and certify hands-on database security solutions
- Create runbooks and hand solutions off to operations once adopted

We are hiring a Senior Database Security Engineer for our Database Security Engineering organizations Database Activity Monitoring workstream, focused specifically on hands-on ownership of Guardium. This is an engineering role rather than an operations, IAM, or general monitoring-automation position. Our team builds and certifies solutions, then hands them off to operations with runbooks; the role does not include on-call duties or 24/7 staffing. The environment is primarily on-premises Microsoft SQL Server, with AWS RDS and Azure use still emerging. We use Jira extensively and work through PI planning. This is a 12+ month contract based in Charlotte, North Carolina; Jersey City, New Jersey; or Plano, Texas.
