We believe that our differences enable us to be a better team – one that makes better decisions, drives innovation and delivers better business results.Opportunity OverviewThe Teradyne Field Applications team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic and driven Field Application Engineer in SLT (System Level Testing), who will work collaboratively with the team as well as independently to determine and develop imaginative, thorough, and practical application solutions.Develop, debug and deployment of test solutions on SLT for Digital, High-Speed Digital, System on Chip, Mixed Signal and Analog semiconductor devices in system.Develop knowledge and expertise on SLT system integration.Test program software development, often done in collaborative environmentAnalyze problems and recommend solutions on Teradyne SLT platform to optimize customer throughputAble to work with test engineering customers to understand and improve test processes.Making recommendations to improve quality of test coverage.Discovery of customer requirements with focus on: a) Conceptual design of hardware, software and test cell integration. b) Electrical and mechanical H/W schematics. c) PCB & H/W design inputs and requirements for interface hardwareDevelop new techniques and designs for characterizing and testing semiconductor devicesDemonstrate tester capability for customer evaluationsAssist customers on tester operation and capabilityProvide training, technical exchanges and technical papersDevelop strong customer relations at a technical level, to gain further insight to direction and needs of the customer.General understanding of SLT industry trends as well as competitive products and product positioning will be a plus. If you’re ready to join us in this mission, take a closer look at the minimum criteria for the position.Bachelor or higher degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering or related fields 5-8 years of experience of semiconductor testing Industry and hands on experience on IC component testing project developmentMust have experience in SLT, functional testing, and debug at the system level.Must have development experience on Teradyne or other semiconductor SLT platforms.It is a plus to have ATE (Automated Test Equipment) Test / Product engineering experience in Digital, High-Speed Digital, High-Power Computing, System on Chip, Mixed Signal, or Analog IC chip testingIt is a plus to have development experience on Teradyne or other semiconductor ATE platforms, such as, Teradyne UltraFlex / UltraFlexPlus / IG-XL, Eagle Test Systems / EV / EV-MST, Advantest V93K / SmarTest 7 / SmarTest 8, or other test equipmentStrong understanding of general software programming (preferred .NET – C#, VB, and/or C++, C, Java) and common algorithmsProficient in Windows and ExcelKnowledge on handler and prober interface experience will be a plusPossess team skills and has ability to work independently as wellStrong analytical skills and practical problem solving skillsSolid presentation skillsStrong proven interpersonal skills and commitment to teamwork and “can-do” spiritOutstanding written and verbal communication skills in both English and native languageProven technical record Demonstrate strong interpersonal and relationships-building skillsSupervisory experience in leading teams (locally and globally) with past experience in employee management may qualify for senior positionAbility to travel 25% or more, domestic and international.Must be able to carry auto liability or minimum insurance due to automotive responsibilitiesCompensation: The base salary range for this role is $139,400 to 223,100. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set.
