About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour; Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years current experience required License: Active Compact or State License required Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIH, TNCC, PALS, CPI (or equivalent) required Must-Have: Flu vaccine required; declinations not accepted. Medical and religious exemptions are approved on a case-by-case basis. Float required within scope of practice; every other weekend is required. Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated. No time-off edits accepted once an offer has been made. No timecard edits accepted once the pay period closes. Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered. Assignment confirmation needs to be signed within 24 hours of an offer. Two references required; one from a Charge or Higher, one from a supervisor. Description: 2 plus years of current experience in the ER is required. Must possess AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications. NIHSS, TNCC, PALS, and CPI (or equivalent) are required certifications. Active Compact or State License is mandatory. Flu vaccine is required with no declinations accepted. Medical and religious exemptions to the vaccine policy may be approved on a case-by-case basis. Experience in managing a variety of emergency situations is essential. Must have skills in acute psychosis management, drug overdose response, and care of ventilated patients. Experience with mental and behavioral health conditions is crucial. Ability to perform triage and obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG is required. Familiarity with managing violent behavior and conducting psychiatric holds is necessary. Float to other units within the scope of practice is required. Must work either a major or minor of every holiday as part of the scheduling expectations. RTO will be considered but must be presented upfront, with no changes accepted. This role is for a highly skilled emergency room nurse with the capability to work under pressure and manage a diverse set of clinical scenarios effectively.
