Position Summary Our Deloitte Strategy & Transactions team helps guide clients through their most critical moments and transformational initiatives. We offer comprehensive end-to-end support and advisory services, covering areas such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), valuation modeling, cost optimization, restructuring, business design and transformation, infrastructure and real estate, and sustainability. The team works closely with clients at every stage of their journey, helping them navigate challenges, avoid financial pitfalls, and implement practical solutions before, during, and after major transformational projects or transactions creating lasting impact. Work you'll do As a Senior Consultant, Strategy, Growth, and Transformation on the M&A team, you will be responsible for… Gathering, normalizing, validating, and analyzing transactional data, including sales and inventory data, to develop and test deal hypothesesWorking with cross-functional teams across financial, accounting, operational, and tax due diligence to manage data analysis and support transaction executionUsing business intelligence tools and data analytics to generate meaningful insights tied to client investment hypotheses and transaction decisionsIdentifying opportunities to design and develop visualizations and dashboards that enable effective and repeatable analysis of large transactional datasetsAdvising clients directly, including C-suite and private equity executives, while coordinating with FP&A and Strategic Finance personnel to identify, collect, and validate data from client databases Team members collaborate with other transaction service analytics professionals, members of the deal teams and clients to produce analyses within fast-paced transaction deadlines. Working with our clients to develop growth strategies based on their organizational goals, our services are designed to help clients be prepared to capitalize on opportunities during the merger, acquisition or divestiture process.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or similar2-4 years of experience analyzing large datasets, including demonstrated understanding of data manipulation toolsDemonstrated knowledge of advanced business analytics and data mining solutionsDemonstrated understanding of multiple business cycles (examples include but not limited to Order-to-cash revenue cycle, procurement, Supply Chain, Inventory, etc.)Experience designing and storytelling via data visualization (examples include but not limited to Tableau, Power BI, Excel Charts, etc.)Experience analyzing or managing accounting, financial or transactional dataDemonstrable evidence of effective team leadership, client relationship development, preferably in a client service settingAbility to travel up to 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serveLimited immigration sponsorship may be availablePreferred:Strong working knowledge of data structures and database designKnowledge of GAAP, particularly revenue recognition and ASC 606 Experience performing ETL/data manipulation using Alteryx or similar toolsExperience designing data visualizations with Tableau, Power BI, or similar toolsKnowledge of how to use programming languages for data analyses: SQL, Python, R or other languages.Statistical methods in support of data analysisCPA, CA certificationMaster of Business Administration or similar degree The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $110,700 to $218,300. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
