Temporary Part-Time HR Assistant

Are you interested in learning more about human resources and recruiting? Behaven Kids is seeking a Temporary Part-Time HR Assistant to provide basic administrative support to our HR and Talent Operations Manager.

This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who would like to gain hands-on exposure to recruiting, onboarding, employee records, and general HR operations. No previous HR experience is required. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable communicating with others, and eager to learn.

Position Overview

The Temporary Part-Time HR Assistant will help with routine administrative tasks while learning about the day-to-day responsibilities of an HR department. This individual will work under the direction of the HR and Talent Operations Manager and will receive guidance and training on assigned tasks.

This is a temporary, part-time, in-person position. Compensation will be paid at the applicable minimum wage.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic administrative and organizational tasks.

• Help schedule interviews, orientations, and other appointments.

• Send interview confirmations, reminders, and routine follow-up messages.

• Assist with reviewing applications and updating applicant statuses in Teamtailor.

• Help organize onboarding paperwork and identify missing documents.

• Assist with preparing materials for new-hire orientation.

• Enter information into spreadsheets, trackers, and HR systems.

• Help organize and maintain electronic HR files.

• Assist with posting job openings and updating recruitment materials.

• Make copies, scan documents, assemble packets, and complete other general office tasks.

• Observe and learn about recruiting, onboarding, training, and other HR processes.

• Maintain confidentiality regarding applicant, employee, and company information.

• Assist with additional administrative projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Interest in learning about human resources, recruiting, or business operations.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Clear and professional communication skills.

• Dependable and able to follow instructions.

• Comfortable using email, Microsoft Word, and basic spreadsheets.

• Ability to learn new computer systems and processes.

• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous administrative or HR experience is not required.
