Job Opportunity

This is a contract position requiring the selected candidate to provide continuous airway management in an acute care setting. Candidates must be prepared to work three twelve-hour shifts weekly (36 hours) on the day shift from 0630 to 1900. It is important to note that there is no guarantee of hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide continuous airway management and support, including ventilator and non-invasive ventilator care.
• Perform physician consulting and CPR as necessary.
• Deliver all aspects of respiratory care to patients.

• Pyxis medication management
• PB 980, PB 840 Ventilators
• V60 Ventilators
• Para Pac Transport Vent

Qualifications

• Must hold an active State of Hawaii respiratory therapist license or be in the process of obtaining one.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a respiratory therapy role, with the ability to care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations.
• No first-time travel assignments, please.

Additional Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate proof of flu vaccination or submit an approved application for medical or religious exemption prior to the contract start date. Flu vaccinations can be administered during the employee health clearance appointment.

Important Dates

Candidates must arrive by the Thursday preceding the start date to attend the required employee health appointment on Friday. Please ensure your availability to meet this timeline before accepting the offered start date.

Contract Duration

This position is for a 15-week contract.
