LRE continues to help meet increased U.S. energy demand through our robust pipeline of new projects every year.Domestic jobs and manufacturing are fundamental to our full-lifecycle approach to projects, along with a long-term ownership model and a company culture dedicated to our community partners and protecting the natural environment.Job Summary:The Director of Procurement (M5) is responsible for leading and executing LRE's procurement strategy across four core areas: (i) supporting execution projects through the structuring, negotiation, and administration of major equipment supply agreementsand EPCcontracts; (ii) supporting the Company's growing operating fleet through disciplined, cost-effective purchasing and vendor management; (iii) overseeing corporate procurement to drive cost savings through vendor consolidation, strategic sourcing, and negotiated rate structures; and (iv) managing approximately$1.5 billionof Owner Supplied Equipment, including allocation to projects, drawdown planning, and disposition through third-party sales of equipment not designated for use.This role will build, lead, andoptimizea high-performing procurement organization, including developing existing team members, and will work closely with Pre-Construction and Project Management and Operations teams to align equipment strategy with project design, schedule,costs, andlogistics. The Director will also lead the development and implementation of enhanced procurement processes and controls to ensure commercial integrity, risk management, and consistent execution across the enterprise. This position manages the procurement function for all Leeward business units.Essential Functions:Develop andmaintaincontacts and relationships with major equipment manufacturers andservicesuppliersincludingbut not limited toPV Modules, Wind Turbine, BESS,High Voltage Equipmentand EPC Contractorsto best position LRE amongst a competitive landscape.Support Pre-Constructionand Legalteams to develop andmaintaincontacts andrelationshipswithEPC Contractors in the renewable energy industrySupportOperationsthroughtimelyand quality contractingfor 30+ operatingrenewable facilities using Maximo tomanagekey work andinventory levelsNegotiate and maintainCorporatecontracts in alignment with department stakeholdersEnsurecompetitive bidsare obtainedfor purchase of capital equipmentas well asservice contracts andassurethe pricingis consistentwith establishedprojectbudgets.Direct the developmentand implementation ofacorporateprocess for measuring vendors and contractors’performance and monitoring risk exposure to the Company.Coordinate with LRE Legal teams to direct the development and implementation ofa consistent standard for “Contract Terms and Conditions” that includes meaningful penalties and liquidated damages for all procurement and construction contracts to assuretimelyand quality performance by contractors.Ensureallproject contractsmeet or exceedthe required design, schedule,cost,complianceand safetyrequirementswithappropriateriskmitigation strategies.Coordinate with Legal and Strategy teams toprocureand manage assets in alignment with Company strategic initiatives related to Safe Harbor,IRAand PWA compliance. Coordinate with Finance & Treasury forspendand cashflow forecastingLead the developmentof LRESupplier Code of Conduct andensurecomplianceis tracked andmeasured inpartnership with cross department key stakeholdersMaintainunderstanding of the market including currentpricing,commodity risks,and key terms and conditionsprovisionsManage and Report market trends, asset value, leadtimesand commodities quarterlyQualifications:BSdegree from an accredited university. Anadvanced degreeisdesirable.Aminimum often(10+)yearsin procurement and contract negotiations applicable to the construction of power generation facilities and/or transmission or electrical systems, including a minimum of five (5) years procurement experience applicable to renewables, or related field,andtwo(2) years in a leadership role.Demonstratedcommercial acumenalongsideknowledge ofequipment and servicesupply contractsfor major infrastructure projectsand inherent contractual risks.Must be capable of working and interacting harmoniously with variousinternalfunctional groups and individuals andmaintainingeffective communication throughout the organization.Must have a successful record of dealing with and interacting withexternalcontractors,vendorsand project stakeholders.Must have a demonstrable sense of urgency when faced with important procurement issues thatimpactthe schedule and budgets of renewable projects.
