AP Staff Accountant

Role: AP Staff Accountant

Location: Calabasas, CA – Hybrid (3 days onsite, Tues–Thurs)

Pay: $35 - $40 / hour

Growing, venture-backed technology company is seeking an AP Staff Accountant to support Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and vendor relationships.
• Process invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
• Support month-end close, journal entries, and GL accounting .
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Support GAAP reporting, SOPs, and process improvements.
• Help bring additional accounting functions in-house and leverage automation/AI tools .

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• AP and GL accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close .
• Bank and credit card reconciliation experience.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• QuickBooks Enterprise experience preferred.
• Comfortable with technology, automation, and learning new systems.
• Self-starter with strong communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
