Elevance Psychotherapy Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this full-time position, the LCSW will play a critical role in providing essential mental health services to individuals affected by various social and personal challenges, including but not limited to neglect, child abuse, domestic violence, mental health issues, and parental substance misuse.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct assessments of clients’ needs and gather pertinent information to inform treatment plans.

  • Provide mental health services and therapy through both telephonic consultations and virtual meetings.

  • Engage clients in beneficial activities that promote health and well-being, tailoring approaches based on individual circumstances.

  • Utilize crisis intervention techniques to support clients in acute distress, ensuring immediate safety and planning for longer-term strategies.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes, adhering to compliance standards.

  • Prepare detailed reports to communicate client progress and concerns with colleagues and appropriate stakeholders.

  • Participate actively in training and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay current with best practices.

  • Network with other agencies and organizations to provide comprehensive referrals and resources tailored to client needs.

  • Stay vigilant for signs of child abuse and take appropriate action in alignment with state laws and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will primarily work with vulnerable populations, including children and adolescents facing neglect or abuse, adults dealing with domestic violence scenarios, and families impacted by substance abuse challenges. Our diverse client base requires a culturally competent approach, recognizing the unique backgrounds and experiences of each individual and tailoring interventions accordingly.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or a closely related field is mandatory.
  • \n
  • Must possess a valid LCSW license in the state of New Jersey.
  • \n
  • An understanding of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for assigned populations, with emphasis on risk assessment and crisis management.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills that enable effective dialogue with clients and colleagues.

  • Proven organizational skills to manage multiple cases and ensure timely follow-up with clients.

  • Demonstrated ability to empathize and establish rapport with clients, adapting approaches based on diverse needs.

Preferred Experience\n

  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience working as a social worker is preferred.
