Residential Care Manager

Residential Care Manager – Responsibilities Schedule: 34 hours per week Instruction and supervision of residents in daily activities according to individualized residential service plans. Provide on‑site coverage and assist with routine resident‑care duties. Work closely with assigned residents to assess needs, develop individualized and program goals, link to needed resources, and coach progress toward recovery. Practice recovery principles and Community Support Program principles in all interactions with residents. Complete psychosocial evaluations, develop and review individualized rehabilitation plans with specific behavioral objectives, and oversee implementation. Teach independent living skills such as cooking, menu planning, money management, cleaning, laundry, and personal hygiene. Coach and/or supervise residents in daily activities, including linkage to community transportation or providing transportation when necessary. Support residents in coordinating services such as psychotherapy, medical care, and Social Security benefits. Provide recovery‑oriented counseling, using active listening and motivational enhancement techniques. Ensure residents receive psychiatric and medical medications, and teach residents how to obtain and take them independently. Collaborate with treatment and rehabilitation services and identify natural supports (family members, sponsors) to monitor progress and solve barriers. Report safety problems to the Program Manager or Clinical Coordinator and assist in resolving physical plant or furnishing issues. Conduct fire drills as scheduled and provide crisis intervention as needed. Maintain documentation of resident activity, progress, staff interventions, and communicate concerns to supervisory staff. Maintain confidentiality of all materials and adhere to Network information‑release policies. Comply with Network and departmental policies regarding safety, reporting, attendance, and dress code. Demonstrate Network’s PCRAFT values and practice financial responsibility in daily procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical and Sensory Requirements Sit up to 2 hours per day; stand up to 10 hours per day; walk 6 hours per day. Lift, carry, and push objects up to 10 lbs regularly; occasionally up to 75 lbs. Transport patients up to 300 lbs via wheelchair, bed, or stretcher. Frequent stoop and bend; frequent reach above shoulder level. Perceive object attributes by touch, hear normal conversation, and see near, far, color, and peripheral vision. Education and Certification Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field preferred. Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with a clean driving record. CPR certification required within 60 days of hire. Training and Experience Experience working with residents in a residential care setting. Knowledge of recovery principles and community support program practices. Ability to perform crisis intervention and safety monitoring.
