We offer a competitive salary, benefits package, work-life balance, as well as opportunities for growth and advancement within our organization.Competitive Pay & BenefitsMedical/Dental/VisionPaid Personal TimePaid Holidays401KEmployer Paid STD/LTD/LifeWork Hours: Mondays-Fridays | 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Occasional overtime required.Work Location: Westerville (Cooper Road)Essential FunctionsMaintain general appearance, cleanliness and stock in examination rooms, procedure rooms, and instrument processing room.Clean and sterilize medical instruments and examination rooms according to infection control protocols, restock supplies and prepare rooms for a safe, clean and organized environment.Instruct Patients regarding appropriate preparation for certain diagnostic tests and procedures.Emphatically and professionally communicate biopsy results to patients, providing a clear explanation of findings and recommended treatment plans. Listen to concerns while offering emotional support to educate the patient on their condition.Aid physician in scalpel biopsies and CO2 laser ablation by means of preparing procedural trays and assisting with oral retraction as indicated, following with precise documentation of treatment site(s) and surgical narrative(s).Takes baseline vital signs and patient history.Evaluates new patient charts prepared by front desk.Answer incoming phone calls. Assist in patient call backs and calls in prescriptions under the direction of the RN/MD.Professionally greets all patients and escorts them to clinical areas.Manages EHR desktop and alerts/flags.Provides discharge instruction/education to patients. Reviews handouts with patients.Assists other members of the clinical team with all patient care activities.RequirementsSkills/Experience:Qualified Applicant should have at least 1 year experience in a medical office environment.Dental office experience preferred.Excellent oral and written communication skills required.Knowledge of GE-Centricity practice management software and EHR beneficial but not required.Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment.Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system.Must know sterile techniqueAdheres to all HIPAA privacy and security regulations and guidelines.Education/Certifications:Medical Assistant CertificationHigh School Diploma or GED requiredCurrent CPR Certification required
