This opportunity offers hands-on experience, working 1:1 with a student who faces some behavioral challenges, but has no medical issues requiring attention. Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role in educational settings
• Strong understanding of positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS)
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent when addressing behavioral issues
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, therapists, and administrators
• Demonstrated reliability, with flexibility for adapting to changing needs
• Compassionate approach and dedication to empowering student success

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, 1:1 instructional and behavioral support for an assigned student throughout the school day
• Assist with the implementation of individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of special education staff
• Encourage positive social skills, engagement, and participation in classroom activities
• Document and report observations and progress to the educational team
• Adapt strategies as needed to best support the student’s growth and achievement
• Collaborate effectively with teachers and school personnel for seamless student support
