This position is 100% on site in Huntsville, AlabamaJob Summary:The Test Solutions Engineering Center (TSEC) team Hardware Discipline Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing advanced windows application solutions for all Raytheon products. We are hands-on, designers using the latest technology and tools, and integrating state-of-the-art software solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. TEE products are in engineering labs, in the field, and in production environments utilized for weapon system products. TEE has job opportunities across all phases of the engineering lifecycle, including demonstrations, early engineering tests, design verification tests, production, and post-production sustainment.We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time position as Test Equipment Software Lead.This position is focused on the design, development, integration, and maintenance of software as a part of on-site factory support of systems to support weapon system product development. The selected candidate will develop applications, libraries, and instrument drivers using the software style, development language, and integrated development environment specified by the organization.The selected candidate will contribute to multidiscipline engineering teams. Typical work involves the development of both engineering and production equipment, environments, and systems. As such, the candidate will contribute to the completion of all stages of product development for Raytheon Missile weapon system products. They will be expected to work, either as a part of a team or independently, to drive or perform design, develop, and implement system level applications in support of producing and maintaining weapon system products.This position will be supporting any (or all) of the following products:The SM‑6 missile is designed to provide capability combining anti-air warfare, terminal ballistic missile defense, and anti-surface warfare in a single weapon system.The SM3-IIA and SM3-IB missiles are kill vehicles designed to develop and deploy a layered defense system to protect against ballistic missile threats.What You Will Do: Lead by example, adheres to, and ensures alignment with Raytheon Values and BehaviorsDesign, develop and integrate object-oriented software applications using C#, C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio in a Windows Operating System (OS)Prioritize and handle multiple software engineering tasks concurrentlyTroubleshoot software and test equipment instrumentation in Common Factory Test Platform (CFTP) solutionsProvide Solutions that work in an Automation production environment with test solutions that have thermal and vibration testing capabilitiesWork in a multidiscipline engineering team environment Interact and engage with Engineering, Operations Managers, Operations PTEs, Directorate leads, Program Leaders as well as Functional leaders to drive factory readiness and robustness Develop and derive requirements for software productsLead and mentor junior and mid-career software engineersDrive consistency and commonality across multiple product SW teams Qualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.Experience in developing and integrating software applications using programming languages including but not limited to ATEasy, C++, C#, Java, Python or Visual Basic.Experience in utilizing integrated development environments and debugging tools to troubleshoot software implementation and ensure integrity of the software products. Prior experience in Windows Operating System and Microsoft Visual Studio is required.Prior experience in factory/laboratory test instrumentation, electronics, and software (Ex. oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters)The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
