Senior Pipeline Engineer

Job Title: Senior Pipeline Engineer Location(s): Atlanta (GA), Charlotte (NC), Chattanooga (TN) Contract length: Direct Hire Pay: Compensation discussions are handled directly with qualified candidates during the interview process. You can assume market pay for these roles and our base and bonus compensation package will meet the requirements.Senior Pipeline Engineer QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a related degree from an ABET-accredited program, and 7 years of pipeline engineering experience required. EPC project experience preferred.Or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technology or related degree from an ABET-accredited program, successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, and 7 years of pipeline engineering experience required. EPC project experience preferred.Or Master's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering and 6 years of pipeline engineering experience required. EPC project experience preferred.Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures. Strong computer skills (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, ATF).Proficiency with 49 CFR Part 192 and ASME B31.8. Familiarity with 49 CFR Part 195 and ASME B31.4 is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience with leading the discipline design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members. Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.Ability to travel.Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.Senior Pipeline Engineer DescriptionLead in the execution of engineering activities:Pipeline design, including plans, profiles, details, and associated bill of materialsCoordination to obtain survey, geotechnical investigations, permitting, and land acquisitionCalculations for studies and reportsMaterial and equipment specifications for procurement and/or factory acceptance testingLead in preparation of proposals and scope development, including:Conceptual designs and execution plansEngineering/project cost estimates and schedulesLead coordination of design activities with other disciplines (Pipeline Facilities, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation and Control, etc.)Develop and improve processes, tools, and/or factory acceptance testingProvide leadership, training, and mentoring to less experienced engineers and team membersRegularly meet and correspond with clients or outside personnelProvide short-term field support during constructionSupport business development and marketing initiatives
