Jet Midwest is a full-service commercial aviation company, specializing in the sale and lease of commercial aircraft, engines, and parts as well as aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul services to the aviation industry. This position is located at the Kansas City International Airport Area, in the former TWA Overhaul Base facility. We are looking for a motivated, high-energy team member to join our Technical Services team. Position Description Title: Aircraft Technical Representative Status: Full time Department: Technical Services Summary: The Aircraft Technical Representative is a highly visible position, responsible for in-depth analysis of related technical and operational data, configuration manuals and records, maintenance records, and repair analysis. Provides oversight of aircraft heavy maintenance, P2F conversion, and long-term planning activities for Technical Services leadership. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Lead the Aircraft Delivery process for specific aircraft as defined from time to time. Act as the Designated Representative for aircraft undergoing maintenance and preparatory work, for delivery to a customer. Represent the company and provide instruction, direction & authorization related to work on the Aircraft with designated MRO provider. Ensure aircraft is completed on schedule and delivered to the customer in compliance with required delivery conditions including maintenance status and technical documentation. Coordinate activities across all departments & suppliers to ensure timely aircraft delivery. Maintain budget oversight over works being performed and scrutinize performance of suppliers, including providing authorization for additional works within scope of delegated authority. Act as primary technical point of contact for all matters pertaining to the aircraft internally and with the end user customer. Coordinate the activities of staff assigned to support the role. Serve as the technical subject matter expert for the company in the area of expertise and provide support to all other business areas, supporting Sale and Lease functions by providing technical assistance, guidance, and instruction as needed to enhance asset acquisition, sale, and technical evaluation process. Provide in-depth analysis of technical data with respect to commercial aircraft airframe products and associated systems, covering technical and operational data, configuration manuals & records, maintenance records and repairs. Review cost and schedule estimates from third party maintenance organizations, and coordinate related company & technical activities, as needed. Support any design, repair development and repair sourcing and assessment activities, as needed. Assist in evaluating Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins to support pre/post-buy activities, and for impact to potential sales, leasing, and other operational opportunities of airframe products and components thereof. Make recommendations on purchase, replacement, repair, or modification of airframe products. Provide post‑sale/post‑lease support to external customers via sales team to answer technical questions, research/obtain technical data, and supply any customer required documentation. Communicate and consult with customers, internal team, and external agents on technical, commercial, and operational matters related to specialization area. Direct contact with customers, co‑workers across the organization, and external stakeholders. Regular interaction and coordination with team members at all levels of our supply chain. Education & Experience A Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or FAA Airframe & Powerplant license, or equivalent field experience suited to this role. 5+ years of experience performing airframe product technical management. Strong generalist knowledge in commercial aircraft technical management. Demonstrable knowledge of all records and regulatory requirements for airframe products and have specialized knowledge of back‑to‑birth trace for all life‑limited parts. Working expertise with FAA regulations, ATA standards, and EASA regulations. Substantial experience supporting and navigating cross‑functional teams. Demonstrated history with and ability to use sound judgement and discretion in dealing with outside vendors, coworkers, customers, and other outside parties. Strong proficiency with: Organization and attention to detail Professional communication MS Office, particularly Excel, and general office technology Leveraging technology to enhance work processes in compliance with industry requirements. Physical Demands & Work Environment While performing the responsibilities of the Delivery Manager, you will be seated at a desk, using a phone and computer, the majority of your workday. Less than 5% of your job duties will require the ability to: walk long distances, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. The noise level is usually low, as consistent with an office environment. At times, some lifting may be required, up to 50 lbs. to sort and move record containers. These job duties are performed indoors in a climate‑controlled environment.
