This position is day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidays. Join us in shaping the future of healthcare./ppJob responsibilities include, but are not limited to:/pulliCirculates and assists in GI procedures, i.e. egd, colonoscopy, etc./liliProvides communication between team members within the endoscopy suite and outside the endoscopy suite./liliInforms the OR Nurse Manager of case progress and reports and unusual circumstances./liliArranges room for specific GI procedure./liliVerifies proper function of necessary equipment./liliAssures that adequate supplies are available per procedure./liliVerifies operative consent for correct patient, procedure physician. Ensures all documentation is signed, dated and timed. Verifies chart has complete and updated history physical./liliAssists in patient transport to and from the GI room./liliMay assist anesthesia provider during induction during other crucial periods./liliAssists with decontamination of equipment and instruments using detergents and disinfectant solutions./li/ulpQualifications:/pulliMinimum of one-year procedural experience in endoscopy/gastroenterology/liliCirculating/Scrub experience is highly desired/liliStrong understanding of endoscopic equipment, patient monitoring, and sedation protocols/liliCurrent licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or possession of an active multi-state Registered Nurse license/liliBasic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon start/liliAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (based on facility)/liliMust be willing to float to Operating Room as needed (applicable to candidates with OR nursing experience)/liliStrong oral and written communication skills/liliExceptional patient communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team/li/ulpBenefits:/pulliMedical, Dental, and Vision Coverage/liliLife Disability Coverage/liliFlexible Spending Accounts/lili401(k) retirement plan with a company match/liliGenerous PTO and Holiday Pay/liliTuition Reimbursement/liliStudent Loan Repayment Assistance Program/li/ul/div
