Automotive Paint Technician

Overview Locally owned company with over 100 years combined experience in the automotive reconditioning industry is expanding and is in need of a qualified and professional automotive paint technicians. Base pay range Pay: $800.00 - $1,500.00 per week This range is provided by Music City Recon. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Responsibilities Travel to dealerships for on-site cosmetic repair. Inspect vehicles to be painted for repair. Prep and/or buff defects. Mix paint to specific color using standard formulas or color charts. Paint, sand, mask, blend and/or polish finish and retouch as needed. Qualifications High School diploma. Valid driver\'s license and good driving record. Ability to interact with co-workers and customers. At least two years of experience as an auto painter, prepping, and/or collision repair technician. Detail oriented. Active listener and good judgment. Good multi-tasking ability. Ability to follow complex instructions is a plus. Knowledge of safety precautions. Work Environment Must be able to work with strong detergents and chemicals. Time is spent working outside in both hot and cold weather conditions. Must be willing to wear gloves and eye and ear protection. 40-hour minimum work week, Monday through Friday. Paint leads earn up to 30% of gross bill out. Paint technicians work in teams of two and assist one another in completing jobs.
