Job Title Warehouse Manager I Reports To Engineering Manager III, Facilities Operations Employment/FLSA Status Full‑Time/Exempt Remote Eligible No, Socorro, New Mexico; transition to Albuquerque, NM in Fall 2026. Travel Requirements Up to 30% through September 2026, afterwards up to 30%. Salary Range $74,000 – $90,000 (depending on experience, skills, and qualifications). Benefits and Perks Comprehensive Medical Plan – Medical, Dental, Vision Short‑Term and Long‑Term Disability Coverage 403(b) Plan with Company Match Life Insurance PTO, Paid Holidays Position Summary The Warehouse Manager I is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing safe and effective operations of the assigned EarthScope warehouse, including coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, executing shipping and receiving, and inventory management. The role is accountable for all government property, company‑owned property, EarthScope instrumentation, and administrative inventory on behalf of EarthScope Consortium, Inc. Details of Responsibilities General Essential Job Duties Formal accounting and management of government property. Coordinate with the Facilities Manager to develop reports for government sponsors in required formats. Conduct annual inventory of property in coordination with all EarthScope facilities and assist in reconciliation with accounting personnel. Arrange transport for all shipments from the assigned facility. Track and confirm delivery of all outgoing and incoming shipments. Ensure all incoming equipment is received, inspected, and stored properly, including barcoding and entry into the property database. Maintain accuracy of the inventory database. Assist technicians and engineers with equipment preparation, including packaging and staging for experiment shipments and for shipments of network operation supplies. Operate warehouse equipment safely. Develop, update, and maintain standard operating procedures for warehouse operations, shipment processing, and compliance activities. Maintain OSHA compliance through required safety supplies, documented inspections, and established safety protocols. Maintain the warehouse, security, and general housekeeping. Perform other duties as assigned for the successful operation of the business. Leadership and Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise Warehouse Coordinators. Supervise part‑time student workforce for warehouse operations and shipping/receiving tasks. Interact effectively with staff, community, and partnering organizations in support of instrumentation and other activities. Work with external vendors and community members to arrange services and/or procure supplies. Foster a professional culture through strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Communicate clearly and effectively with other team members to ensure tasks are completed on time and with best practices. Collaborate with all team members to coordinate and complete warehouse facility activities. Qualifications Minimum Education & Experience Requirements High school diploma, GED or equivalent. At least six (6) years of experience in warehouse and inventory management, including staff supervision. Experience in tracking and reporting government and company property. Mastery of inventory tools and their implementation. One or more of the following certifications: Hazardous Materials, IATA/Lithium Battery Handling, OSHA, Lift Truck Operator. Preferred Skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in business, logistics, or a related field. Assignment‑specific Position Summary This position manages warehouse operations at the EarthScope Primary Instrument Center (EPIC) in New Mexico, balancing responsibilities across international shipping compliance, warehouse organization and space management, shipment processing, and inventory and property accountability. The Warehouse Manager I ensures the safe, compliant, and efficient operations of the facility, accurate documentation in coordination with EarthScope’s inventory and compliance requirements, and effective processing of inbound and outbound shipments. The role also provides training and knowledge sharing with Operations staff across multiple facilities to strengthen organizational capacity in logistics and trade compliance. Assignment‑specific Essential Duties Reports to and is supervised by the Engineering Manager III IS Facilities Manager. Prepares and reviews export/import documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs declarations. Classifies goods under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and ensures correct country of origin, valuation, and tariff codes. Maintains compliance records for shipments and assists with audits, self‑checks, and corrective actions. Tracks regulatory changes (customs, EAR, ITAR) and coordinates with the EarthScope Compliance Team when applicable. Coordinates with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal departments to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant shipments. Provides training and shares compliance knowledge with Operations staff across EarthScope facilities. Performs core warehouse duties, including receipt and preparation of shipments, coordination of packaging and staging, and tracking and confirmation of delivery for all inbound and outbound shipments. Reports on changes in equipment status and supports disposition requests as required by policy and OMB standards. Develops data and reports related to government property as requested by the IS Facilities Manager. Provides functional supervision to the EPIC Operations group Warehouse subunit. Represents Warehouse subunit resource requirements and status to functional manager in support of monthly management resource allocation meetings. Oversees sub‑award employees, including students. Ensures the team properly accounts for time between all supported programs. Provides input to hiring managers and supports the resource hiring process as appropriate. Other duties as assigned. Programmatic Responsibilities Manages Import/Export coordination for all EarthScope programs and projects in coordination with the EMIII – IS Facilities Manager. Ensures property accountability and inventory updates in compliance with OMB and NSF requirements. Contributes to continuous improvement of international trade compliance processes and documentation practices across IS facilities. Coordinates programmatic responsibilities through appropriate program managers and assigned task leaders. Participates in team‑based review of Import/Export policy changes and ensures proposed changes are vetted through the EarthScope Compliance Officer before implementation. Supports all Programs under the NGF. Assignment‑specific Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Working knowledge of international trade regulations, including customs laws, EAR, and ITAR. Ability to prepare and interpret shipping and customs documentation with accuracy. Familiarity with HTS classification, country of origin rules, valuation, and tariff structures. Strong coordination skills for working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and government agencies. Ability to train others and transfer compliance knowledge effectively to a distributed operations team. Ability to interpret and apply regulatory updates to daily operations. Ability to use judgment within defined practices to determine appropriate action. Ability to contribute to the solution of complex problems. Ability to apply good judgment and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Assignment‑specific Preferred Skills Entry‑level certification or coursework in import/export regulations or international trade compliance (e.g., Certified Export Specialist, ICC Export/Import Certificate). Experience in knowledge transfer, training facilitation, or cross‑facility staff development. Experience with inventory management software. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Read and interpret documents such as packing lists, shipping manifests, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Maintain accurate and complete records. Establish, implement, and follow safety and quality standards. Use judgment within defined practices to determine appropriate action. Understand moderately complex problems and collaborate to explore alternative solutions. Perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure. Apply good judgment and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Complete moderately complex administrative paperwork. Advanced knowledge of rules, regulations, and procedures for safe handling, storing, and returning hazardous freight shipments. Mastery of shipping software and its functions. Experience in safe transportation and equipment moving operations. Experience with occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade. Skilled in Microsoft Excel. Organized with strong attention to detail. Work independently as well as a team player. Other Requirements Availability consistent with EarthScope established practices; hours may exceed 40 hours per week, especially when traveling. Current driver’s license and ability to obtain a valid NM driver’s license. Compliance with EarthScope Consortium’s Motor Vehicle Policy. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Frequently required to stand, walk, and work near moving mechanical parts. Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl. Occasionally required to sit and work under outside weather conditions. Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals. Continually required to use hand and finger dexterity, talk or hear. Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 75 pounds while following safety protocols. Work environment noise level is typically moderate to loud. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Use of safe forklift operations and lifting methods and techniques.
