Gynecological and/or Genitourinary Surgical Pathologist

Overview The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Albany Medical College in Albany, NY is seeking an Associate Pathologist (AP) or AP/Clinical Pathologist (AP/CP) board‑certified pathologist to participate in clinical services of Gynecological and/or Genitourinary pathology in an academic setting. Fellowship training in the respective field is desirable, but not required; a second area of interest in AP is preferred. Responsibilities GYN and/or GU pathology sign out Shared AP call and non‑forensic autopsy coverage (average less than 4 autopsies per pathologist per year) Teaching Activities 1‑on‑1 and group sign‑out with residents, medical students and visiting observers Didactic lectures, unknown slide conference and supervising residents' presentations such as journal club, gross conference and grand rounds Activities in translational research and medical student teaching can be tailored according to individual preferences and department needs Salary and Compensation Area‑competitive salary range commensurate with experience and academic rank: $224,000 - $336,500 (base salary only). Total compensation will include an initial sign‑on bonus and a significant quarterly incentive component later.
