As a Wound Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in maintaining skin integrity, administering physician-prescribed treatments, and ensuring accurate documentation in accordance with professional standards. Wound Care Nurse is a key member of our healthcare team, dedicated to providing exceptional care to our residents and patients.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain skin integrity and promote wound healing through accurate assessment, treatment, and documentation

• Administer physician-prescribed treatments and medications as ordered

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans

• Provide education and support to residents, patients, and families on wound care and prevention

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment plans

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Nurse License

• Valid CPR Certification

• Minimum of one year of experience in a wound care capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related healthcare program

• Education, training, experience, or certification in infection control and prevention

• Must possess knowledge of long-term care operational standards as set forth in the Federal Register, Conditions of Participation and State regulations
