Registered Nurse - Operating Room - (227781) Victoria General Hospital (VGH) – Victoria, BC V8Z 6R5 CA (Primary) Shift Start Time/End Time: 07:30-15:30, 10:00-18:00, 23:15-07:15, 23:30-07:30 Days Off: Rotating Vacancy Type: Regular FT Salary Range (Hourly Rate): $41.42 – $59.52 Reports to the Manager, or designate. Plans and provides direct nursing care to patients in the Operating Room in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and the CRNBC Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia. QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training and Experience Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant. Recognized Peri‑operative Program or recent operating room experience essential. Skills and Abilities Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to organize assigned workload and set priorities. Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with a variety of internal and external contacts, including co‑workers, physicians, community agency representatives, patients, residents and families.
