Ideal tutors are: Passionate about education Experienced in working with students An expert in a high school academic subject and a college graduate Conscientious, punctual, reliable, and on top of organizational tasks Excellent at communicating with students, parents, and colleagues Proactive and efficient in your work Team-oriented and coachable Enthusiastic and positive! Tutors must: Have a 4 year college degree from a great university Commit to a minimum of 12 tutoring hours per week with a few additional hours of administrative work Tutor during after-school hours, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends Work at Test Takers through the end of the 2026/27 school year Live locally in Nassau County We offer tutors: Strong hourly tutoring wages with compensation for admin time Merit-based pay increases with the potential for benefits Paid training and ongoing support from supervisors, mentors, and fellow tutors A vibrant and supportive work environment at our Manhasset office and paid driving time to students' homes Flexibility in the number of hours you work More about Test Takers: Since 2000, Test Takers has provided outstanding SAT classes at community centers in Long Island, New York, and Scarsdale.
