Senior Associate Scientist - RGM Chemistry
Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Responsibilities
- Execute solid-phase oligomer and oligonucleotide synthesis using automated synthesis platforms with modified amidites
- Synthesize RNA-related constructs with varied lengths and chemical modifications for discovery and platform development
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot synthetic workflows to improve yield, purity, and process efficiency
- Purify synthesized oligomers using chromatographic techniques and characterize materials using LC-MS, HPLC, and related methods
- Maintain accurate experimental records and support operation and maintenance of synthesis and analytical instrumentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, biology, or related scientific discipline
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience with Bachelor's degree or 3 years with Master's degree
- Hands-on experience with solid-phase organic synthesis, particularly oligonucleotide or oligomer synthesis
- Experience with purification techniques including SEC, AEX, and RP-HPLC
- Experience with analytical characterization methods such as LC-MS and HPLC/UPLC
- Master's degree preferred
