The Painter assists in making residential homes move-in ready and creating the best possible experience within our residential communities.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProviding painting of all interior and exterior facets of the construction scope of work.Masking and covering as required to protect adjacent surfaces.Preparing all existing drywall to receive paint.Ability to perform minor drywall patching/mudding/sanding to prepare for paint.Mixing, carrying, and applying paint to walls, ceilings, cabinetry and trim.Cleaning, protecting, and moving materials, tools, and equipment.Erecting ladders and scaffoldingSupporting multiple residential sites within military installations.Coordinating with other trades.Maintaining a clean and safe workspace at all times.Maintaining routine maintenance on scope specific equipmentAdhering to PPE requirements at all times.Ability to work from heights with an understanding of safety requirements for that work.Other responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.1+ year in the painting trade.Knowledge of Paints – urethanes, epoxies, and enamels along with an understanding of the hazardous materials within.Punchlist experience.Completion of OSHA 10 or 30, or ability to complete.Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment such as paint sprayers, brushes, and rollers.Positive AttitudeInitiativeFlexibilityMulti-TaskingSense of UrgencyHard WorkingEffective CommunicationAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneelWhy Join Sevan?At Sevan, we believe in creating a supportive and dynamic environment where your contributions truly matter. Must have ability to stoop, stand, climb, frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine. Involves movement between floors, and properties to facilitate work.
