Role Overview and Implementation Scope

• The position serves as the l ead product owner and techno-functional subject matter expert for the enterprise Icertis contract lifecycle management implementation under the Propel source-to-pay core team.
  • Responsibilities include end-to-end process mapping building standard clause repositories alongside procurement and legal teams overseeing conversion and data cleansing and identifying strategic use cases for the tools embedded artificial intelligence features.
  • Deep technical configuration and developer coding skills are not required; an unselected system integration partner will manage the technical build and conversion components.
  • The role reports directly to the senior manager of the source-to-pay Propel core team and will collaborate with existing core SAP S/4HANA implementation staff.
• Implementation commences in early January and will continue across most of next year.
  • If filled as a full-time employee the role is slated to transition post-implementation into a long-term procurement center of excellence to support contract lifecycle management and artificial intelligence optimization.
  • The position operates as a process lead guiding the integration partner rather than managing direct employee reports during the first one to two years.

Department Overview

Enterprise Business & Technology Modernization is a cross-functional organization leading PG&Es Propel program a major business and technology modernization initiative designed to unlock customer value by simplifying collaborative work processes. Propel will migrate PG&E to the new version of SAP S/4HANA presenting a unique opportunity for PG&E to standardize business processes clean the technology core and enable innovation for breakthrough change across Engineering Operations Finance Supply Chain Human Resources and Information Technology. Through a phased approach Propel will implement process standardization operating model changes data improvements SAP and other technology applications with a focus on incrementally improving business capabilities and delivering value.

Position Summary

The STP (Source To Pay) CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) Business Process Analyst Principal will play a pivotal role in PG&Es Propel program leading the implementation of Icertis (Contract Lifecycle Management) as part of our broader business and technology modernization efforts. This role requires a deep understanding of contract management processes and general understanding of Source to Pay (STP) processes and solutions including requisition to approval PO management guided buying catalogs services procurement and supporting systems (Ariba SAP.) The ideal candidate will possess the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve strategic objectives and will be responsible for ensuring alignment with Propels goals of standardizing business processes enhancing data quality and enabling technological innovation for the future state STP design.

Reporting Relationship

The STP CLM Business Process Analyst Principal will report directly to the STP Senior Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Recognized Contract Lifecycle Management subject matter expert who represents procurement teams and stakeholders in the overall S/4Hana Modernization program.
• Supports all project phases as representative of the procurement process in design workshops socialization and confirmation business requirements for L3/L4processes.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI capabilities within the new tool to accelerate value realization
• Facilitates socialization of future state design concepts with peers.
• Validates/confirms business requirements against documented regulations and procedures.
• Identify gaps and cross functional design requirements and solve unique and complex problems anticipating issues and developing innovative solutions.
• Performs root cause analysis on the most complex processes that have cross functional impact.
• Works with senior management to support strategic planning and decision making in relation to organizational and cross functional business processes.
• May manage major cross-functional projects and initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Business Statistics Mathematics or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 8 years of related or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience either working in Icertis CLM or supporting an Icertis implementation
• LSS Green Belt
