Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) position is available on the medical-surgical floor in Weirton, West Virginia. This role involves providing patient care within an acute care setting, with a focus on common diagnoses such as pneumonia, urinary tract infections, altered mental status, gastrointestinal bleeds, alcohol withdrawal, and falls/weakness. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day of orientation.

Job Details:

• Location: Weirton, West Virginia
• Shift Hours: 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with weekends as scheduled
• Required Qualifications: RN license; BLS certification; minimum of 1 year of experience; recent or first-time travelers accepted; EMR proficiency in EPIC; ability to work flexible shifts, including rotating schedule every two weeks between days and nights
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with acute care or medical-surgical nursing; ability to manage various patient care tasks such as vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, EKG assessments, heart monitor application, bathing, feeding, toileting, and patient turning/positioning
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other medical-surgical or intermediate care units for lower acuity patients
• Additional Information: May be required to participate in holiday rotation based on hospital schedule. Nurses and PCTs (Patient Care Technicians) do not have scheduled holidays; work on holidays is based on rotation schedule
