Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team in cardiovascular procedures, maintaining a sterile field and passing instruments, supplies, and medications as needed
- Prepare for cases by assembling supplies and equipment, checking inventory, and maintaining an organized sterile field for expedient access
- Conduct instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts with the RN and label solutions according to established standards
- Transport patients and equipment, assist with general housekeeping duties, and perform clerical tasks as assigned to support the unit
- Document case data in the designated system (EPIC) and collaborate with the team; participate in on-call coverage as required (approximately 50%)

Requirements
- Active CST or TS-C (NCCT) certification; CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor
- Current nursing license per state of assignment
- 2+ years of recent open-heart or scrub tech experience; ability to scrub open-heart cases solo or with a second scrub
- EPIC experience required
- Education: High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s/Technical degree preferred
- CNA certification preferred
