Short Description Responsible for the safe, timely and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items to their destinations, enabling clinicians to perform their duties efficiently. Responsibilities Ensures positive patient and customer satisfaction and proper utilization of body mechanics. Adheres to policies, procedures and standards established by hospital, department and regulatory agencies. Acts as a positive role model and team player, demonstrating hospital mission and values. Regularly stands, uses hands to finger, handle or feel, reaches with hands and arms, and stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls. Frequently walks, sits, climbs, balances, talks or hears. Lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. Work Environment Characterized by loud noise, exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and vibration.
