Job Position: Accountant II

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Mitchell, SD 57301

Pay Rate: $26.00-$29.50/hr DOE

Job Summary:

Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Accountant II to support daily financial operations by preparing reports, maintaining accounting records, performing reconciliations, and assisting with month-end close activities. The ideal candidate has strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze financial data while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and profit/loss reports
• Maintain general ledger and perform account reconciliations
• Process and code invoices and support accounts payable/receivable
• Assist with month-end closing activities
• Analyze cost information and maintain financial records
• Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Support audits and tax reporting requirements
• Maintain accounting software systems and records
• Perform additional accounting duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of general financial or cost accounting experience
• Knowledge of GAAP principles
• Experience with accounting software and financial systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
• Strong communication and organizational skills
