Activity Director

Activity Director RYZE at the Ridge is seeking a motivated, creative, and compassionate Activity Director to lead the planning and execution of engaging programs that enhance our residents' quality of life. The Activity Director is responsible for creating a positive and engaging environment where residents can thrive socially, mentally, emotionally, and physically.

- Plan, organize, and oversee individual and group activities based on residents' interests, abilities, and needs.
- Develop and maintain monthly and weekly activity calendars.
- Lead and supervise activity staff, aides, and volunteers.
- Encourage consistent resident engagement and participation in activities.
- Maintain accurate activity documentation, attendance records, and resident assessments.
- Coordinate special events, community outings, entertainment, and holiday programs.
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, social services, and other interdisciplinary team members to support residents' overall well-being.
- Manage activity department supplies, inventory, and budget as assigned.
- Ensure activity programs comply with applicable state and federal regulations and facility policies.
- Maintain safe, organized, and engaging activity spaces.
- Evaluate resident participation and adjust programs to meet changing resident needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by facility leadership.

- Certified Activity Director required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Recreation Therapy or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience leading activities in a healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care setting required.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and lead creative, meaningful, and engaging resident programs.
- Compassionate, energetic, and resident-focused approach.
- Ability to work effectively with residents, families, staff, volunteers, and interdisciplinary team members.
