Ottley Avenue, Fruita, CO 81521, USA Responsibilities Reliable and punctual attendance; expected to be at job as scheduled each day. Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate. Perform physical and mental assessment of hospital and emergency room patients. Initiate proper emergency care. Notify physician and family upon admission and report significant changes during hospitalization. Receive and carry out physician’s orders. Assist physicians with medical procedures. Ensure safety and correctly perform all nursing procedures within scope of practice. Know medication dosages, routes, and actions. Carefully administer prescribed medication. Reorder and stock supplies and medications as needed. Observe universal precautions, follow guidelines and policies. Recognize, initiate, and observe special precautions. Maintain a clean, organized work area. Identify patient needs, plan and implement care. Assist with patient mobility, hygiene, and ADLs. Ensure all records required for admission, consent, discharge, etc. are completed. Maintain complete and accurate documentation of assessments, vital signs, observations, and events. Remain courteous, while promoting healing and a holistic approach to patient care. Provide formal and informal teaching to patients, families, and staff within scope of practice. Education Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) from an accredited school of nursing; or equivalent diploma or degree. Licenses & Certifications Current unrestricted State of Colorado RN license in good standing. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS. Must obtain TNCC within 3 months of hire. Experience Minimum one year of ER experience required.
