Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a CVICU/Blended ICU position at a Joint Commission accredited, Level III Trauma community hospital and regional referral center in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

Details

• Work setting is a 16-bed blended ICU/CVICU within a 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center that is Joint Commission accredited and a Certified Chest Pain Center
• Adult and geriatric patient population with common diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A-fib with RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR
• Patient ratio is 1:2
• Equipment includes Baxter infusion pumps
• EMR system is Medhost
• Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend is required
• On-call responsibilities are required
• Floating may be required to the Intermediate Care Unit (as primary RN) and to the ED for admitted patients holding in the ED, on an as-needed basis

Requirements

• Active AZ RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience is required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

• 13-week contract located in Lake Havasu City, AZ
• Weekly orientation is provided
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Lake Havasu City offers abundant outdoor recreation including fishing, golfing, swimming, and hiking, along with local restaurants, breweries, and distilleries
• Conveniently located within driving distance of Las Vegas (2.5 hrs), Phoenix (3.25 hrs), Grand Canyon National Park (3.5 hrs), and Los Angeles/San Diego (5 hrs)
