Aerospace Quality Inspector Supervisor
Anaheim / Fullerton Area | Full-Time | 1st & 2nd Shift Available | $35–$40/hr DOE

ABC Sheet Metal / Steeldyne is a growing AS9100D-certified aerospace manufacturer producing precision sheet metal, machined, welded, and fabricated assemblies for aerospace and defense customers.

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Quality Inspector Supervisor to lead inspection activities in a hands-on aerospace manufacturing environment. This is a working supervisor role responsible for supporting inspection operations, AS9102 first article inspections, supplier quality activities, and day-to-day quality oversight.

The ideal candidate will have strong aerospace inspection experience, portable CMM arm experience, leadership capability, and the ability to work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and customers to maintain high aerospace quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection of aerospace machined, welded, and fabricated components
• Conduct AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAI)
• Utilize portable CMM equipment including Faro, Hexagon, or Romer Arm systems
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and aerospace customer specifications
• Support and maintain AS9100D quality standards
• Assist with supplier source inspections and quality audits
• Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and customers to resolve quality issues
• Supervise and support inspection personnel
• Maintain inspection documentation and quality records

Required Qualifications

• Aerospace manufacturing inspection experience
• Strong GD&T and blueprint reading skills
• AS9102 First Article Inspection experience
• Direct hands-on experience with Faro, Hexagon, or Romer Arm equipment
• Prior supervisory or lead inspection experience
• Knowledge of AS9100 quality systems
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Additional Experience Preferred

• Verisurf software experience
• Welding and fabrication inspection experience
• Supplier source inspection experience
• Aerospace sheet metal manufacturing experience
