About the Position

AlliedTravelCareers is working with Jackson HealthPros to find a qualified Echo Tech in Portland, Maine, 04102!

Join our team as an Echo Ultrasound Tech / Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Technologist and use your expertise to operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, compassionately prepare patients for echocardiogram procedures, and produce detailed images of the heart for interpretation by healthcare teams. This opportunity is for a hospital-based inpatient echocardiography lab in Portland, ME, supporting a tertiary care center with a Level I trauma service.

Minimum Requirements:

• National certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• Minimum 5 years of echocardiography experience, including at least 2 years of acute inpatient echo experience in a Level I trauma facility. (Client-specific requirement)
• Proficiency in transthoracic (TTE), stress echo, and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), with experience using 3D echo, strain imaging, and ultrasound contrast agents. (Client-specific requirement)
• Experience meeting ASE and IAC accreditation standards and lab protocols. (Client-specific requirement)
• Ability to manage high-volume workflows in a critical care environment while maintaining diagnostic quality. (Client-specific requirement)
• BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience optimizing image quality through advanced scanning techniques and equipment settings.
• Demonstrated teamwork in case reviews, feedback sessions, and educational activities with cardiologists and fellows.

Assignment Details

• Shift Hours: 06:30 AM – 05:00 PM (10-hour shifts).
• Schedule: Rotating days to include rotating weekends.
• Overnight call: 5:00 PM to 6:30 AM, 2–3 nights per month with strict guidelines and cardiologist approval for call-ins. (Client-specific requirement)
• Typical workload: 7–8 echocardiograms per day.
