Maintenance Tech - 3rd Shift

Overview Maintenance Technician III at MITER Brands, Tacoma, WA. Shift: Grave (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM) with overtime and occasional weekend work. Wage Band: $36.00–$45.00 per hour DOE. What You’ll Do Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial manufacturing equipment, including motors, AC drives, PLCs, servos, sensors, switches, and pneumatic systems. Diagnose equipment issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability. Conduct root cause analysis and develop long-term corrective actions to prevent recurring failures. Document maintenance activities and work orders using CMMS software (FiiX CMMS or similar). Partner with production teams to improve equipment performance, quality, and operational efficiency. Perform fabrication, welding, and modification work as needed. Support facility maintenance, utilities, and grounds upkeep. Maintain a safe work environment and consistently follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. What You’ll Bring 6+ years of maintenance experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Experience using diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and related testing tools. Strong understanding of preventive maintenance practices. Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), such as FiiX or other MRO platforms. Ability to safely lift 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new technologies. Preferred Qualifications Technical certification, trade school training, or equivalent education. Experience with PLCs, servo systems, automation controls, welding, fabrication, and machining. Background in continuous improvement and root cause analysis methodologies.
