• Experience with a variety of patient types including inpatient and outpatient.
• Proficient in starting peripheral IVs.
• Comfortable working as a solo MRI Technologist.

Description:

This facility is a Level IV Trauma Center with a Level III NICU. It is a teaching hospital with a total of 228 beds. The census typically includes 10-12 MRI patients daily. Candidates should have experience with general MSK, breast, strokes, head, neck, back issues, soft tissue injuries, brain scans, MRCP, and extremities. Trauma MRI is unlikely but possible. The schedule includes breast biopsies, and there are limited appointment times each week for patients with pacemakers. Currently, no sedation or anesthesia patients are included. Support available includes a director with MRI background and radiologists both onsite during business hours and remotely 24/7. Call coverage is typically during weekday evenings and all weekends. There is a shared general work area with CT Technologists for additional support if needed. Electronic medical record charting is conducted using an EPIC system. Unit-specific equipment includes the Siemens Aera. Scheduling includes a weekend rotation every third weekend, with on-call responsibilities. Time off requests must be submitted for approval. Holiday coverage may require being on call, with holidays divided equally among MRI Technologists. Scrub color is flexible, provided it is professional, and denim or camo is not permitted.
