HLU Operator

Monday – Friday

5:45 am – 2:15 pm, mandatory overtime and weekends as needed

$15.00 per hour

The HLU Operator prepares laminates and operates equipment and materials associated with the hand layup area process.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• An HLU Operator loads reinforcing medium and resin or premix charges of prescribed amounts onto molding equipment and carries out prescribed molding cycles.
• Makes minor adjustments to equipment, charge and/or cycle to obtain a quality product.
• Unloads the part from the HLU table/mold, ensuring the part meets quality standards.
• Counts, measures, mixes, and weighs accurately of resins and catalysts.
• Maintains quality, safety, and service-oriented individuals.
• Preparation of molding equipment and materials for daily operations.
• Prepares reinforcing medium and resin for HLU.
• Understand mixes and material identification.
• Performs proper housekeeping within his/her designated area daily.
• Proper and safe handling of power tools (worm drive saw, drill mixer) when needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Steel Toes are required.
• Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division- must pass a per-employment math test.
• Must be able to use hand trucks and carts to push and pull loads > 100 lbs.
• Must have the ability to lift and carry loads ≥ 50 lbs.
• Must have the ability to safely mount and dismount forklifts.
• Position requires dexterity of hands and fingers to use hand/power tools and fasten items.
