What You'll Do

• Provide specialized neonatal care for high-risk deliveries and newborn diagnoses
• Attend high-risk deliveries and conduct car seat testing
• Manage care for NICU and Wellbaby units
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Support families during critical neonatal periods
• Document care activities accurately using Epic systems
• Adapt to unit needs, including potential emergency team assignments and holiday shifts

What You Need

• Valid Louisiana RN license or willingness to obtain
• Minimum of 2 years NICU experience
• Current BLS, NRP, and CPI certifications
• Strong neonatal assessment skills and ability to handle high-risk scenarios
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Preferred

• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Previous travel nursing experience

About the Assignment

This unit combines NICU and Newborn Nursery services, providing care for high-risk deliveries, newborn diagnoses, and routine newborn care. The team works collaboratively to ensure the health and safety of vulnerable neonates, with opportunities to attend high-risk deliveries and conduct specialized testing.
