Aqua Fitness Instructor (Part-Time/Subs)
Help older adults stay strong, healthy, and connected—one splash at a time!
Aging is Cool is seeking energetic, dependable Aqua Fitness Instructors to lead engaging water exercise classes for active older adults in senior living communities, recreation centers, and community pools.
If you're passionate about helping people improve their strength, balance, mobility, and confidence while having fun, we'd love to meet you!
What You'll Do
- Lead safe, engaging aqua fitness classes for older adults.
- Modify exercises for participants with varying abilities.
- Create a welcoming, encouraging, and upbeat atmosphere.
- Arrive prepared and on time with a positive attitude.
- Build relationships with participants while promoting health and wellness.
- Communicate professionally with community staff and the Aging is Cool team.
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Enjoys working with older adults.
- Has experience teaching water fitness or group exercise.
- Can motivate participants of all fitness levels.
- Is reliable, friendly, and professional.
- Has dependable transportation.
- Is comfortable teaching independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Water Fitness Instructor Certification (AEA or equivalent preferred)
- Group Fitness Certification
- CPR/AED Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience teaching older adults is a plus.
Schedule
- Flexible, part-time.
- Most instructors teach 1–4 classes per week, with opportunities to add additional classes as they become available.
- Weekday mornings and afternoons are most common
