Position Summary

The Sterile Supply Technician is responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, processing, assembly, and sterilization of medical supplies, instruments, and equipment.

Required Certification

CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician

Education

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Required / Preferred Experience

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Current CRCST certification preferred or may be required within 24 months of the start date, based on location.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare medical equipment and instruments for decontamination.
Prepare standard and specialty instrument kits for operating rooms, nursing units, and other departments.
Sort, inspect, assemble, and process instruments according to established procedures.
Respond to emergency supply requests during surgical procedures.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Clean workspaces, change needle boxes, and maintain supply levels.
Maintain accurate sterilization records.
Distribute instrumentation and specified equipment throughout the facility.
Monitor temperature and humidity conditions in storage areas.
Operate specialized sterilization equipment as required.
