Primary Responsibilities Assist the Dentist and Hygienist with patient treatment in clinic, hospital, and surgical settings. Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures. Assist in performing operating room dental procedures. Assist providers in delivering quality care to patients. Sterilize instruments and perform infection control procedures. Perform expanded functions including scheduling, client intakes, and filing. Track lab cases to verify the case is sent and delivered prior to delivery appointment. Accurately document treatment information in patient charts. Assist with billing, medical record services, and clerical responsibilities. Minimum Qualifications Active license with the Minnesota State Board of Dentistry as a Dental Assistant. Experience with common oral hygiene techniques and standard dental equipment and methods. Experience taking x‑rays, chairside assisting, dental charting, record keeping, and infection prevention. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working with a special‑needs population. Experience working with Dentrix. Completion of an Allied Sedation Course approved by the Minnesota State Board of Dentistry. Experience working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
