Field Director, Cardiovascular Metabolic MSLs - South Central Region US

Field Director role leading a regional team of Medical Science Liaisons in Amgen's Cardiovascular Metabolic therapeutic area across the South Central US. Responsible for team management, compliance with medical engagement strategies, and execution of field medical objectives aligned with corporate goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional MSL team toward execution of field medical activities aligned with medical strategy and performance objectives
• Ensure team delivers compliant, clinically meaningful scientific engagements with healthcare stakeholders per regulations and Amgen policies
• Conduct field observations with direct reports, provide performance feedback, and guide career development opportunities
• Hire, onboard, and assess new MSLs; manage team meetings for development, best practice sharing, and talent retention
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Global Medical, Sales, Value and Access, and Marketing to support customer-facing strategies

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 4 years medical affairs experience, OR Master's degree and 8 years experience, OR Bachelor's degree and 10 years experience
• 4 years managerial experience directly managing people or leading teams and programs
• PharmD, PhD, MD or DO preferred
• 7+ years industry experience in scientific or medical affairs at biotech or pharmaceutical company
• Minimum 3 years in medical science liaison role
• 7+ years in clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research
