HVAC Assistant

Job Summary

The HVAC Assistant works under the supervision of licensed technicians to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems This role is primarily responsible for preparing job sites, transporting tools and materials, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring protocols are followed.

Duties & Responsibilities

• System Maintenance: Assist with cleaning coils, clearing drain lines, and replacing air filters: Load and unload HVAC units, tools, and supplies. Prepare the worksite by laying down tarps and clearing space.
• System Maintenance: Assist with cleaning coils, clearing drain lines, and replacing air filters.
• Assisting Technicians: Hand tools and materials to the lead technician during repairs and installations. Hold ladders, measure pipes, and help fabricate or install ductwork.
• Basic Troubleshooting: Under guidance, assist with checking refrigerant levels, testing electrical components, and diagnosing equipment malfunctions.
• Clean-up & Inventory: Clean up the job site, remove debris, and keep company vehicles organized and stocked.

Requirements

High School or GED Required.

EPA Section 608 Certification encouraged

Manual dexterity and mobility required.


Must be able to lift, push, move and/or carry heavy supplies or equipment up to 75 pounds. Ability to climb ladders, and work in tight, hot, or cold spaces.
