About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Psych experience License: State License - Oklahoma Certifications: NIH, BLS (AHA) Must-Have: De-Escalation training preferred Description: Responsible for input into the formulation of the patient care plan. Responsible for attending weekly clinical staffing and reviewing patient treatment plans. Directly responsible for medication education with all patients and families. Assures patients' emotional and mental observations are reported to medical and clinical staff and documented accurately in the patient chart. Facilitates teaching and educational groups as scheduled. Trains LPNs and mental health technicians in charting, vital signs, patient routines, and de-escalation techniques. Actively participates in performance improvement teams or other task forces. Accepts educational or marketing assignments as designated by management. Maintains Therapeutic Options certification up to date. Serves as a positive role model through language, dress, hygiene, and behavior.
